Management and Entrepreneurship: An online debate/discussion. 11 May 2021, 11:30AM (SAST)
Management and Entrepreneurship could be two of the most important issues which our society faces today. Management, the art of getting things done through other people, underpins just about every aspect of our lives whether it is fighting the Covid-19 virus or organising family affaires. Entrepreneurship used to be a fairly obscure idea for economists and business leaders which involved innovation to improve businesses, but today entrepreneurial thinking includes new ideas to improve our circumstances ranging from businesses to community or our own future prospects. Entrepreneurial thinking has become critical to many people lives.

These concepts are not that well understood and time and again one hears confusing commentaries on both Management and Entrepreneurship, especially in the media.
UKZN’s School of Management, Information Technology and Governance is hosting a discussion which will examine the ins and outs of these ideas and thus provide a better understanding of what these concepts mean to today. This online event will be of special interested to both those who are interested in furthering their studies in these fields possible through research and also to those who are actively involved in management and in building their own businesses.
